Updates of Current Issue at West Coast Terminals

Dear Customer,

Finally comes a clear picture for the global supply chain right after a tentative agreement being reached by ILWU and PMA. Swept all the concerns away, the tentative agreement is for a new six-year contract which covers the dockworkers at all 29 ports on the US West Coast and is subject to approval by both parties.

Good news is that the agreement cools down what had been rising labor tensions that led to port delays and shutdowns in recent weeks. This is a welcome development for both sides and the importers in the States; however, according to ILWU, the proposed labor deal is still a far way from being fully ratified.
